About Me

Where It Started
I have been deeply fascinated by technology since my early childhood, and I still am today. Back
then,
it was mainly Minecraft and Nintendo video games that pulled me into the world of technology.
Because of that, in the eighth grade at the age of 14, I chose the elective computer science course
at my school, Gymnasium Sulingen, and unknowingly laid the groundwork for my future at SAP. I
learned the programming basics by developing short animated movies and video games in SNAP! for my
computer science lessons.
Later I created a movie recommendation system, my first big project, for which I handcrafted
functions for data
preprocessing and implemented methods such as cosine similarity calculation to compare users and
movies.
Then, for a mandatory two week internship, I joined the Mobility as a Service company Hacon where my
aunt worked. There I got to see my first Daily Scrum meetings and learned how to build android
applications with Android Studio by creating my own tic tac toe application. I also remember getting
some printed out Java functions to analyse what each function did and how I failed so hard at seeing
through the nested funciton calls that I needed many approaches and some support from my supervisor
to get it right. This showed me again how important it is to not be scared of seemingly impossible
challenges and asking questions.
The Power of Great Teaching
Thanks to my highly motivated and inspiring computer science teacher from school I entered
university exceptionally well prepared. It was only because of his and his colleague's dedication
that there were computer science courses at our school in the first place. This teacher also could
have retired some years before my A-levels, but he stayed until our course finished. I also remember
him giving us a last lesson online before our final exams while he was in hospital, showing how much
he cared about his students. Without his great teaching, I am sure my path into a computer science
career would have been much more difficult.
And who knows, if I didn't have any chance to dive into computer science at school, I might not have
had the courage to apply for the dual study program at SAP or even study computer science at all. I
still am in contact with him and each year I have the opportunity to meet him in person at
Heidelberg, because he travels here for the SnapCon conference every year.
In short, I am very grateful for the great teaching and motivation he gave us back then and will try
to pass this on to others as well.
Where I Am Now
Today, I keep up with the newest technology developments, especially in the field of AI and agentic
AI, and deep
dive into computer science and IT security by gaining invaluable insights through my work at SAP and
my studies at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. Since I am a big fan of both IT security
and AI, I will try to combine these two fields, staying innovative but at the same time keeping
security in mind.
